Passion Projects
Passion Project Presentations took place today! It was really great to see the amazing final projects that were created after three class periods of hard work. the requirements for this project were to LEARN SOMETHING then they needed to CREATE SOMETHING, and finally SHARE SOMETHING. Luckily, all chose to create a digital project, so all can be posted on the website. Take the time to see these amazing projects. I know I learned a lot from the students!
Breaking News! Modern Greek Myths
BREAKING NEWS!! Imagine some of the stories from Greek Mythology were happening today. Wow! That would be newsworthy! Students chose a favorite myth from this unit and used the details from it to create a modern news story. Check them out!

Passion Projects in the works
5th grade is ending the year with projects that they are passionate about. The task? To learn something, create/do something, and to share something. The energy in the room is amazing as the students work to create, design, edit, and perfect their projects. Presentation week is next week. All digital projects will be posted on the website after the in-class presentation.

WeDo Greek Robots
Can you believe that some historians believe that the first time robots were imagined was way back in Ancient Greece? This week we were inspired by the myth of Talos - a giant metal being that protected the island of Crete. Students created their own "giant robots". They learned to use sensors to wake up the robot. Check out this busy day of building, redesigning, programming, and problem-solving.
