Fish Friends

Fourth graders are learning leadership skills as they work with a second grade Fish Friend during our Trout in the Classroom project this year. This week they met their little friend and observed the trout eggs up close! What fun to learn together!

Web-Kids

Fifth grade students are not only enjoying raising our new trout eggs, but are also learning about web-design! They are learning to upload digital media from iPads and Google Drive and collaboration skills as they design a website that documents learning and observations of the Trout in the Classroom activities! Third graders put their engineering skills to the test in this short challenge. Students learned from mistakes as they tested and re-tested designs. The task:design a balloon powered car that can carry as many candy hearts as possible.

Fifth graders took on the roles of attorneys. The prosecuting attorneys have the burden of proof and are trying to convince the jury of the accused's guilt. The defense teams are preparing to defend their client. Is there reasonable doubt?
